You can now add this key pad to your alarm system and it will enable you to arm and disarm the system by a password, thus enabling you to hide the control panel out of sight and not have to rely on key fobs. The key pad is supplied with its own user manual that will explain how to link this into your Defender alarm with ease. However if you buy this at the same time as the alarm system we will link this in for you in advance. An added bonus to using the new arm/dis-arm key pad is that if you press the byp button (Bypass button) on the key pad it will only make the door/window contacts active, while all the PIR sensors are inactive. This means that you can now partial arm the Defender alarm system, and have if you want just door and windows protected, enabling you to move around inside the house and not trigger the alarm.
